Job Description
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and launch new product(s)
- Perform risk assessment of all products
- Work closely with distribution team, and provide an efficiency support to ensure meeting therequest from distribution team under company underwriting guideline
- Prepare quotation slips after finalization with UW Manager/Head
- Issue insurance policy for distribution team
- Assist UW Manager/Head to compile, analyze and prepare monthly reports required for monthlymeetings and business reviews.
- Ensure that an acceptable pricing and terms is determined within own underwriting authority andunderwriting guidelines, on new business and renewals.
- Draft Underwriting guidelines
- Ensure evaluation of underwriting needs and coordination as necessary within companyunderwriting and risk control guidelines
- Maintain service standards by timely response to intermediaries’ requests and timely receipt ofcollateral and agreements in addition to meeting deadlines on submissions of quotations,certificates and/or policies.
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Insurance
- Basic Degree/Diploma in Business or Banking & Finance
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in senior officer position in life insurance company
- Knowledge of insurance operations, underwriting procedures and understanding in policywordings,
- Experience in doing product development
- Understanding of risk assessment, laws and legislation in relation to life insurance industry.
